We've had a wonderful time so far catching up with family, friends and visiting all of our favorite spots! I wanted to share one of these favorite spots on the blog today.<br /><br />I've been wanting to have a fun shooting day on Dartmoor since the first time Chris took me there a few years back. Today, we drove around the Moors with no specific destination in mind trying to find good light and new places. Our trip was cut short though as the weather changed from sun to rain to hail with a constant cold wind and we were not dressed for it! We shot so many beautiful weddings and I'd like to show a few of them over the next little while. I'm busy packing for a trip to England with my husband and son (We leave tomorrow! Yay!) so I may not be online as much for the next two weeks. Here is the first of the 2011 weddings: <br /><br /><br />Meghan and Steve were so perfect together. They have a long history of adventures and their friends and family described them as "meant to be". There were so many beautiful details in this wedding but one of my favorite things was Meghan's custom hand-painted shoes from <a href="http://www.figgieshoes.com/">Figgie Shoes</a> which described their life together so far. Such a personal touch!<br /><br />The wedding took place at <a href="http://stanleysfarm.com/">Stanley's Olde Maple Lane Farms</a> located just outside downtown Ottawa. This venue is not only gorgeous but has some of the best staff we've ever encountered! Everyone went out of their way to make everything perfect.
